Background
Chapter 32 of the Milwaukee County Code of General Ordinances contains various provisions that relate to procurement functions.  The 2012 Adopted Budget expanded the Procurement Division to include the areas of commodities, services and contracts and created the position of Procurement Director to oversee these functions.  
 
Recommendation   
The Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is recommending approval of the proposed amendments to various sections of Chapter 32 of the Milwaukee County Code of General Ordinances to reflect actions included in the 2012 Adopted Budget related to creation of a Procurement Director responsible for oversight of the Procurement Division.
The required resolution effectuating the ordinance changes as well as the fiscal note are attached for your consideration and referral to the appropriate standing committee of the County Board of Supervisors.
