Amendments to cargo lease agreements require County Board approval.
BACKGROUND
At its meeting of November 5, 2009, Milwaukee County approved a new cargo lease agreement with Federal Express Corporation for the signatory cargo rental of 187,828 square feet of air cargo apron effective November 1, 2009. At its meeting of February 4, 2010, Milwaukee County approved a lease amendment with Federal Express Corporation for the signatory cargo rental of an additional 29,570 square feet of for a total of 217,398 of air cargo apron effective May 1, 2011. Federal Express Corporation is now requesting to lease an additional 9,000 square feet of air cargo apron for a total of 226,398 square feet in order to provide sufficient parking space for an MD-10 aircraft
RECOMMENDATION
In order to effectuate an amendment for the request by Federal Express for additional air cargo apron space, Airport staff recommends that Milwaukee County amend the agreement between Milwaukee County and Federal Express, Inc., effective October 1, 2011, to add approximately 9,000 square feet of air cargo apron space for a total of 226,398 square feet of air cargo apron space.
FISCAL NOTE
Annual airport revenue of TB-2093 will increase by $3,290.40, from $79,480.71 to $82,771.11.
