From the Director of Compensation/Human Resources Information Systems, Department of Human Resources, requesting approval to reallocate the pay range for Chief of Staff position within the County Executive’s Office, title code 11003016, from pay grade 902E to pay grade 904E effective during Pay Period 13 and beginning on June 9, 2020.  (06/17/20: Laid Over to the Call of the Chairperson)

 

Body

This submittal includes a resolution and accompanying fiscal note in support of a request to reallocate The Chief of Staff position in the Office of the County Executive. The reallocation request asks the Chief Human Resources Officer to implement the following reallocation upon Board of Supervisors approval.

This reallocation is being requested to properly align the role of Chief of Staff in the County Executive’s Office to the grade of 904E. With respect to the role’s operational and strategic responsibilities, alignment within the grade of major Department Heads is appropriate. We would administer this position the same as the following positions as stipulated in File 17-569:

                     Director, Department of Administrative Services (DAS) 

                     Director, Department of Transportation

                     Director, Department of Health and Human Services

                     Chief Human Resources Officer, DHR

 

It should be noted that the candidate for this position will not be receiving a salary increase to accept this role. The salary will remain constant for this individual after the reallocation of the position.
